Author Information

After completing his undergraduate degree in Economics, John continued his studies at Stanford University, California, where he graduated as a Master of Business Administration. There followed a life of business entrepreneurship, with John’s private company investing in and managing a series of companies involving importing, wholesaling, retailing, real estate and international and domestic travel.

He served on the board of a number of industry bodies, chaired the Small Business Development Council, a state government statutory corporation, and was appointed to the federal government’s national Small Business Council, reporting to the Minister of the day.

In semi retirement, John was asked to join the national board of The Australian Investors’ Association, where he instigated and chaired day-long conferences and seminars on investment topics.
